Per the San Diego Union-Tribune Gates indicated Monday that he needed to decide this week whether or not his playing through his aches and pains, as he has of late, is helping or hurting the Chargers. "That's where I'm at right now," said Gates, who was limited to one catch on three targets for six yards this past Sunday against the Chiefs. Wednesday's practice participation, albeit in a limited capacity, does bode well for the veteran tight end's chances of being available Sunday against the Jaguars, however.
