Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle is behind bars in Kansas after an altercation at a casino, Robert Wilonsky of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Randle, who was released by the Cowboys earlier this month, was arrested and charged with making a criminal threat (a felony), assaulting and interfering with a law enforcement officer, battery, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass, according to the Sumner County Sheriff's Office.

TMZ Sports was the first to report that Randle was arrested around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday after being asked to leave the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kan. for being intoxicated.

On his way out of the casino, Randle reportedly spit on the floor and assaulted a security officer.

Fred Waller, an enforcement agent with the Kansas Gaming and Racing Commission, told TMZ that Randle initially left the casino and then returned, at which point he was confronted by a KGRC agent, whom he tried to fight. Other agents stepped in and took Randle into custody.

This isn't Randle's first brush with the law. In February, he was arrested after Wichita police responded to a domestic disturbance call from his hotel room. Officers determined that there wasn't enough evidence to charge Randle with domestic violence, but he was suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

In October 2014, Randle was arrested for stealing a bottle of cologne and underwear from a department store.
