New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski left Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos with a knee injury and will not return.

Gronkowski writhed in pain after being hit by Broncos safety Darian Stewart.

The Patriots' superstar was carted off the field and was immediately declared out for the rest of the game. Gronkowski couldn't put any weight on his knee as he boarded the cart.

Gronkowski caught six passes for 88 yards and a touchdown prior to leaving the game in the fourth quarter.

After going to the locker room, Gronkowski was seen exiting the X-ray room with a slight limp.

Arguably the most unstoppable player in the NFL, it would be an immeasurable loss for the Patriots if Gronkowski missed any time whatsoever.

Scott Chandler would gain the majority of snaps in Gronkowski's absence.
