Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham suffered a patellar tendon injury during Sunday's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

"We're gonna miss the heck out of him for the rest of the season," Carroll said.

It's terrible news for the Seahawks who were just beginning to utilize Graham more effectively. The former New Orleans Saints standout had four catches for 75 yards on Sunday.

Patellar tendon repair can take 6-9 months, but Victor Cruz suffered a patellar tendon injury last season and still hasn't been able to get back on the field.

In Graham's absence, the Seahawks will turn to Luke Willson who has shown the ability to make big plays when it counts, catching nine passes for 79 yards and a touchdown in last season's playoffs.

At 6-5, the Seahawks are in a dogfight for one of two wild card playoff spots.
