The San Diego Chargers were without both tight end Antonio Gates and guard D.J. Fluker for Thursday's practice session after both players took part in a limited capacity Wednesday.

Gates is dealing with knee and hip issues, while Fluker has a concussion, the team announced.

Orlando Franklin, meanwhile, was upgraded to a full participant after being limited in his return to the practice field the day prior.

The veteran lineman missed the past two games after suffering a knee injury in Week 7.
