Report: Jets' Nick Folk out at least 4 weeks

Nick Folk will be forced to the sideline for a minimum of four games as a result of the quad injury that kept him out Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Brian Costello of The New York Post reports.

The New York Jets' veteran kicker has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 quadriceps strain, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan.

As Folk explained to reporters Sunday, he was going through his usual pregame warmup routine when he suddenly "felt a little pop."

"I couldn't make an extra point," Folk said. "I tried pregame, I just couldn't get any power into it."

Punter Ryan Quigley served as Folk's replacement, making all four of his extra-point attempts.

In search of a replacement on the free-agent market, the Jets worked out Billy Cundiff, Garrett Hartley, Kyle Brindza, and Randy Bullock on Monday, according to Costello.
