Jets' Nick Folk will undergo MRI to determine severity of quad injury

Anthony Gruppuso / USA TODAY Sports

New York Jets kicker Nick Folk suffered a quad injury prior to Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and will undergo an MRI Monday.

Folk said that he heard a pop during pregame warmups and said there was no way he'd be able to kick. He was replaced by punter Ryan Quigley, who completed all four extra-point attempts in the Jets' 28-23 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

If Folk is out for a significant period, the Jets will almost certainly have to sign another kicker. Folk has connected on 13-of-16 field-goal attempts this season.
