Panthers' Allen dealing with numbness in foot, could miss Week 6

Mike DiNovo / USA TODAY Sports

Carolina Panthers defensive end Jared Allen is getting treatment for numbness in his foot and is not a lock to play in Week 6, head coach Ron Rivera told reporters.

The numbness is the result of a pinched nerve in Allen's back.

Asked if Allen will play Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, Rivera said, "I hope so."

The Panthers traded for the veteran pass rusher in late September. He made one tackle in his Panthers debut.
