Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is playing through a bacterial infection and has been administered an IV leading up to Thursday's game against the Houston Texans, according to Stacey Dales of NFL Network.

"I hope I can play four quarters," Hasselbeck told Dales ahead of kickoff.

With Andrew Luck inactive, the Colts would have to turn to recently signed veteran Josh Johnson if Hasselbeck is unable to finish Thursday's game.

Hasselbeck, who completed 30-of-47 passes for 282 yards and a touchdown in a Week 4 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, is on antibiotics and is dealing with "extremely low energy levels," Dales reports.
