Rams' Fisher uses air horn to prep defense for Aaron Rodgers

The St. Louis Rams' defensive line has the unenviable task of trying to stop arguably the best player in the game in Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Sunday.

And Rams HC Jeff Fisher has an unconventional method of preparing his defensive linemen for Rodgers' extremely effective hard count.

He blasted an air horn in their meeting room.

"That's just a message to the D-line on the hard count," Fisher told reporters on Wednesday, via ProFootballTalk. "No one uses the hard count better than Aaron. And everybody week after week, you'll read clips and things and all the defensives work against it. 'We were ready for it.' He pulls them offsides two or three times a game. So, I woke them up in their meeting room this morning with the horn, just to send a message."

The Rams' players weren't too impressed with the tactic, however.

"Some were pissed," Fisher said. "It scared them."

Fisher is right to worry, Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league at drawing defensive linemen offside, and profiting off their mistakes by taking chances down the field on the free play.
