Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy has served his four-game suspension, and is now eligible to return to the field for the first time in the regular season since Week 1 of 2014.

When Hardy met with media Tuesday for the first time since signing with the Cowboys in March, he sounded more than a little excited.

"I hope not long. I hope I come out guns blazin'. I'm full of excitement and full of juice," Hardy said when asked how long it'll take him to return to form.

"I'm ready to go. I have what they call fresh legs. I'm really excited to get out there on that grass or turf and see what they can do."

Hardy was suspended in April for a domestic violence incident with his then-girlfriend Nicole Holder. He was alleged to have thrown her onto a futon covered with firearms.

The defensive end isn't concerning himself with the past now that he back ready to play.

"Now that I'm back, I don't reminisce," said Hardy. "I don't look back, other than to know that I need to get forward. I need to get to progress. I need to get to sacks. I need to get to the place where I need to be to help this team."

Hardy's initial 10-game suspension was reduced to four games on appeal.
