St. Louis Rams linebacker Alec Ogletree will require ankle surgery after suffering an injury during Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, head coach Jeff Fisher confirmed.
Ogletree collapsed to the ground after teammate T.J. McDonald collided into his leg. The Rams linebacker was promptly carted off the field.
Ogletree recorded 10 tackles before leaving the game. He tweeted postgame that he'd be alright, although that appears to be an optimistic outlook.
It would be a crushing loss for the Rams if Ogletree can't return this season, as the third-year pro was off to a fantastic start to the year, recording 42 tackles and four sacks thus far.
