Report: Texans' Tom Savage to miss 4-6 weeks with severe shoulder sprain

Houston Texans quarterback Tom Savage is expected to miss four to six weeks with a severe shoulder sprain, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports.

It's good news for the Texans, as the injury will not require surgery as some initially feared.

Savage suffered the injury in the Texans' preseason finale Thursday. He was spotted leaving the X-ray room on a cart.
