Report: Saints' Keenan Lewis out 4-6 weeks after hip surgery

Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports

New Orleans Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis will miss four-to-six weeks after undergoing hip surgery, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

It's yet another blow to a Saints secondary that can't seem to get healthy at the same time.

Lewis' loss is a significant one, as it will likely force Stanley Jean-Baptiste or perhaps NFL newcomer Delvin Breaux into a starting role opposite Brandon Browner - if Browner is healthy enough to play in the opener, that is.

The Saints' undermanned secondary was a major issue for the team last season. Unfortunately, it's shaping up to be a problem again this year.
