Report: Dolphins' DeVante Parker 3-4 weeks away from camp debut

Miami Dolphins fans shouldn't expect to see rookie wideout DeVante Parker on the field until late in training camp at the earliest, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

Parker, the Dolphins' first-round pick, underwent foot surgery in early June. He's still three-to-four weeks away from a return, according to Salguero.

Head coach Joe Philbin isn't willing to speculate on a timetable for Parker's return, with the possibility that he'll miss the entire preseason still lurking.

"We're not sure exactly when he's going to get back," Philbin acknowledged Tuesday, according to James Walker of ESPN. "I don't know if he's going to practice, how much he's going to practice, if he's going to play in the preseason."

June's procedure was the second of its nature in less than a year for Parker. He broke the fifth metatarsal in his foot in August of last year and missed the first seven games of Louisville's season.

Parker's most recent surgery was reportedly performed in order to correct an issue with the screw inserted into his foot during his previous procedure.

In Parker's absence, the Dolphins will likely turn to veteran Greg Jennings and young pass-catchers Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills as the anchors of their passing attack.
