Report: Vikings' Josh Robinson suffered partially torn pectoral before minicamp

Minnesota Vikings cornerback Josh Robinson is dealing with a partially torn pectoral muscle he suffered before June minicamp, according to ESPN's Ben Goessling.

Though his status is unclear at this point as the team has yet to confirm the injury, the uncertainty heading into training camp creates a concern in Minnesota's secondary.

Entering his fourth season with the team after being selected in the third round of the 2012 draft, Robinson was set to compete for snaps in the Vikings' defensive backfield throughout the preseason.

Should the 24-year-old be forced to miss time leading up to or extending into the regular season, first-round pick and rookie Trae Waynes would likely be pushed into a more significant role early in his career.

Robinson appeared in all 16 regular-season games in 2014, making five starts and recording three interceptions.
