The Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers would surely like to avoid relocation, but they continue to do their due diligence in case it becomes a reality.

Raiders owner Mark Davis and Chargers owner Dean Spanos traveled to Los Angeles on Tuesday to meet with Mayor Eric Garcetti about the proposal for a shared stadium in Carson, Calif., according to Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times.

The duo also had meetings with other city officials from both Los Angeles and Carson. It's unclear what exactly was being discussed, but the meeting comes on the heels of a new Raiders stadium proposal, which some believe doesn't make sense financially.

With the league meeting in August regarding possible relocation to Los Angeles, the Chargers and Raiders remain possible candidates to change cities. The St. Louis Rams could also be on the move, with owner Stan Kroenke proposing a stadium in Inglewood.
