DeMarco Murray responds to Randle: 'Hopefully he can taste some of that meat'

Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray wasn't interested in getting into a war or words over comments made Wednesday by Joseph Randle of the Dallas Cowboys.

Randle said Murray "left a lot of meat of on the bone" last year in the Cowboys' running game, prompting the Eagles back to offer this light-hearted response on Thursday.

"Hopefully he can taste some of that meat this year," Murray said.

He downplayed the situation even more with his follow up comments.

"They’re a good team," Murray continued. "Hopefully he can get a chance to run behind that line and do some good things. But I’m not worried about it. I didn’t hear about it until now. It’s not a big deal."

The comments had the potential of igniting a feud between running backs of division rivals, but Murray had to go and do the classy thing to seemingly put an end to it.

We'll never know what might have been. Thanks, DeMarco.
