St. Louis Rams defensive ends William Hayes and Chris Long went undercover for 24 hours in March to experience the plight of the homeless firsthand. The footage will air Sunday as part of SportsCenter's weekly "SC Featured" segment.

Hayes and Long were never recognized as Rams, but they did express some concern after the first night that some people in the homeless community might think they were undercover police officers. For that reason, the crew decided to stop the experiment after one of the two planned days.

"We still feel like we captured the essence of their wide-eyed experience of being homeless," co-producer Steve Buckheit said. "I was very relieved at how genuine our two principles came across. There was no agenda; they were very genuine in everything they did. I feel it was mission accomplished."

"Life on the Streets" airs Sunday at 10 a.m. ET on ESPN.
