Every Friday, theScore's NFL editors will bring you a roundup of everything you need to know from around the division with the NFC East Notebook.

Dallas Cowboys

Gregory happy to beat Smith. Rookie edge rusher Randy Gregory smiled as he told reported he got the best of left tackle Tyron Smith at OTAs. Gregory says he won a few one-on-one battles, but Smith told reporters he was only beaten "once."

Randle hungry for meat. Running back Joseph Randle says DeMarco Murray left "a lot of meat on the bone" in the running game after last season and indicated he plans to be the one to grab the starting job and start eating.

Cowboys promote personnel executive (again). For the third time in three seasons, Cowboys personnel man Will McClay has been given a new job title.

New York Giants

New-look O-line carries question marks. Rookie Ereck Flowers lined up at left tackle as the Giants revamped (partially by choice and partially by necessity) offensive line took the field for the first time at OTAs.

Much more to Williams than football. When second-year running back Andre Williams isn't working to improve his game, he's writing a book and patenting and marketing a line of clothing, accessories and athletic wear.

Manning takes shot at Shockey. The Giants will hold joint practices with the Cincinnati Bengals this summer and Eli Manning thinks they will include less drama than the last joint practices the Giants participated in – all because Jeremy Shockey is no longer with the team.

Washington Redskins

Jackson skips OTAs, attends NBA playoff game. OTAs are voluntary and it's not unusual for veterans to skip the workouts. Receiver DeSean Jackson came under fire for his reason for staying away, however, after he was spotted attending Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

Snyder has spoken to Moss about future role with team. Santana Moss probably won't be in uniform this fall, but that doesn't mean his time with the Redskins is over. Moss says Dan Snyder has spoken to him about taking a job with the team after he retires.

Griffin happy to lose sleep for infant daughter. Robert Griffin III says he isn't getting much sleep with a new baby in the house but he doesn't mind because he's so excited.

Philadelphia Eagles

Bradford not participating in team drills. Quarterback Sam Bradford will have to wait a little longer to get on the field with his new teammates. Bradford has been limited to individual workouts at OTAs as he continues to recover from a torn ACL.

Smith gets second chance. First-round pick Marcus Smith headlined a disappointing 2014 rookie class for the Eagles. He has added weight and will be asked to step into a bigger role in the defense.

Eagles prime candidates for "Hard Knocks" in 2016? If the Eagles don't make the playoffs this season and don't replace head coach Chip Kelly, they could make a very appealing candidate for HBO's "Hard Knocks."
