Son of WWE star Sting trying out for Chiefs

As the son of wrestling legend Sting, Steven Borden Jr. is constantly being compared to his famous father. But the former Kentucky tight end, who's now trying out for the Kansas City Chiefs, insists he isn't bothered by the attention.

"People usually ask me, 'Does that bother you, does that upset you?' It's never bothered me," Borden told Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star on Sunday. "It's actually been one of those things that has pushed me my entire life. You see what your dad has done, you want to beat him out."

The famous connection hasn't gone unnoticed by some of Borden's new teammates.

"I'm used to it by now," he said. "You're going to get a couple comments here and there in the locker room. But eventually people just see me as Steven Borden, and that's what it is."

Borden said his father was always supportive of him playing football and never pushed him to get into wrestling. He admits he might consider a career change in the future if football doesn't work out, though.

"I always tell people, if one day I'm homeless on the streets, then I might try it," Borden said with a laugh.
