Though coach Jay Gruden maintains that Alfred Morris remains Washington's feature back, Jones is a candidate to help ease Morris' workload some this coming season, the Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

At 6-foot-2, 231 pounds, Jones brings good size to the table, but it's his ability as a pass-catcher that figures to be his ticket to playing time, as a rookie behind and in tandem with Morris. Though Roy Helu is no longer with Washington, Silas Redd and Chris Thompson are also in the team's backfield mix, but we suspect that in the event of a Morris injury, Jones would get the first shot at handling the team's heavy lifting.
