Steelers sign wide receiver Sammie Coates to contract
PITTSBURGH (AP) Wide receiver Sammie Coates and the Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a rookie contract.
Team officials announced the signing of the third-round draft pick on Friday afternoon. Coates was the 87th overall pick. He started three years for Auburn, finishing with 1,757 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns.
The Steelers say seven of eight draft selections in 2015 have signed with the team.
