DeSean Jackson on Chip Kelly: 'Why would you get rid of your best players?'

Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson is the latest player to criticize Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly for his personnel moves.

Jackson was released by the Eagles in March 2014 after posting the best statistical campaign of his career. The three-time Pro Bowler promptly signed with the Eagles' NFC East rival Washington Redskins.

On Wednesday, Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy alleged that Kelly was trying to get rid of many of the team's best players, 'especially all the good black players.'

Jackson appeared to share McCoy's sentiments in an appearance on Sportscenter via Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith.

Honestly, I'm further along than that. It's been two years since I've been removed from the Philadelphia Eagles. I'm just excited and happy where I'm at. I don't really want to get too caught up in what's going on over there in Philadelphia. LeSean McCoy is one of my great friends and he's a great running back – he's one of the best in the league – and I look at myself as one of the best receivers in the league. So as far as being removed from there, I can't understand, why would you get rid of your best players on the team? But it's their loss. Moving forward, the teams we're with now is the teams that’s winning, the teams that’s gaining more of a respect of having them type of guys on the team.

The Eagles made a number of dramatic moves in free agency and replaced McCoy with the 2014 rushing champion, DeMarco Murray. Jackson's emotions were running high in both contests against the Eagles, and the Redskins' star receiver may have added fuel to the NFC East rivalry.
