Strong, who was selected by the Texans in the third round (70th overall) of the NFL Draft, said his wrist is fine, the Houston Chronicle reports. "The Houston Texans tested my wrist when I was down there and they thought that everything was OK," said Strong.

Analysis:

Strong fell to the third round amid concerns about the wrist, but tried to allay any apprehension over it. Wideout was an obvious area of need for Houston after it released Andre Johnson, but it's facile thinking to presume Strong will replace Johnson. The Texans added veteran wideouts Cecil Shorts and Nate Washington in free agency, and as a team that finished on the cusp of the postseason in 2014, they'll be seeking some experience at the position this coming season.
