NFL Draft - Day 2: Cowboys take Gregory; Saints grab potential Brees successor

Look back at all seven rounds of the 2015 NFL Draft with our Draft Tracker, which includes scouting profiles, trades and rumors.

Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3

Cowboys end Gregory's slide

Pass rushing prospect Randy Gregory wasn't selected in the first round Thursday, ostensibly due to a failed test for marijuana at the NFL Scouting Combine. That didn't stop the Cowboys from scooping him up near the end of the second round on Day 2.

Prior to being selected, Gregory spoke as the last undrafted player in the green room Friday, admitting he has problems - though he didn't specify what they are - and promised he's working to get them under control.

Titans take shot on Green-Beckham

The Titans were reportedly eyeing troubled Oklahoma wideout Dorial Green-Beckham with the 33rd pick. In the end, they traded down seven spots and still managed to grab him.

It's a very risky pick. Green-Beckham missed the entire 2014 season after getting kicked off Missouri amid allegations of domestic violence. He also had prior marijuana-related arrests.

Green-Beckham will join a revamped Titans offense that added Marcus Mariota with the second overall pick.

Saints take potential QB of future in Grayson

With Drew Brees closing in on the end of his playing career, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Looking to the future, the New Orleans Saints selected Colorado State quarterback Garrett Grayson with one of their two third-round picks Friday night.

Grayson, of course, won't be expected to contribute on the field for at least another season or two, but learning from a quarterback of Brees' caliber could certainly set him for success when the time comes.

The St. Louis Rams were the only other team to draft a quarterback on Day 2, grabbing Sean Mannion in the third round.

Giants jump up to 33, take Landon Collins

The New York Giants kicked off the action of Day 2 of the draft by negotiating a trade with the Tennessee Titans to move up seven spots to 33rd overall, where they selected Alabama safety Landon Collins.

The Giants sent their second-round pick (40th overall) plus fourth- and seventh-round selections to the Titans.

Jaguars find feature back in Yeldon

T.J. Yeldon is the third running back off the board after the Jacksonville Jaguars made the Alabama runner their choice with the 36th overall pick.

Yeldon, a gliding runner who outperformed Eddie Lacy as a freshman, should immediately step into a feature role in the Jaguars' backfield, relegating Denard Robinson to the change-of-pace role for which he's better suited.

Trades pick up

After a notably quiet first round (for the first time since the AFL-NFL merger, none of the top 12 picks were swapped), trade winds started blowing in the second and third rounds.

Among teams moving up were the Carolina Panthers, who jumped 16 spots to nab receiver Devin Funchess, and the Texans, who moved up eight spots to select linebacker Benardrick McKinney.

The Ravens moved up to select Maxx Williams, blocking the Steelers, who also coveted the draft's top tight end.

Collins threatens to re-enter draft in 2016

LSU offensive tackle La'el Collins, who is being sought for questioning in the shooting death of a pregnant woman, will reportedly re-enter the 2016 draft after no team selected him in the second or third round on Friday.

Collins' representatives are making it clear the former projected first-rounder won't sign with any team that takes him in rounds four through seven.

The LSU product isn't considered a suspect in the murder at this time.

Best of the Rest

There are several big names left to be taken on Day 3 of the NFL Draft. Talent is still deep at cornerback, defensive tackle and wide receiver. Best available:
