Indianapolis Colts linebacker D'Qwell Jackson says the public hasn't heard the full story behind his February arrest for simple assault.

Jackson cannot reveal details of the altercation since the case is still pending, but he took the opportunity to apologize for his actions Wednesday.

"When time allows, there will be a chance where I can really speak on it," Jackson said, according to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star. "But all I can say is that I take a lot of pride in my career and profession and the name on my back. The guys hold me accountable in this locker room and vice versa.

"I apologize for adding another distraction for this team. I'm very fortunate to do what I do. I love what I do and I'm passionate. When the time allows, the facts will come out, but at this point, I want to apologize to the community and my fans and all my supporters out there."

Jackson was arrested Feb. 3 in Washington, D.C., after allegedly punching a pizza delivery driver during a dispute over a parking spot. The driver, 41-year-old Jose Bonilla-Fuentes, told CBS Sports Radio that Jackson threatened to kill him during the dispute.
