- BOSTON - The Boston Marathon, two years after the fatal bombings, is run with Meb Keflezighi the defending champion. Star Kenyan Patrick Makau has dropped out. A U.S. woman has not won in 30 years.

- Two NBA playoff games: Milwaukee at Chicago (up 1-0), 8 p.m.; and New Orleans at Golden State (up 1-0), 10:30 p.m.

- Lookahead to Tuesday's three games: Boston at Cleveland; Washington at Toronto; Dallas at Houston.

- Three NHL playoff games: Rangers at Pittsburgh (tied 1-1), 7 p.m.; St. Louis at Minnesota (tied 1-1), 8 p.m; and Anaheim (up 2-0) at Winnipeg, 9 p.m.

- BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Outgoing SEC Commissioner Mike Slive speaks with regional sports editors and writers in his first extensive remarks since announcing in October his retirement and cancer treatment.

- SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Jockey Chris Antley, thoroughbreds Lava Man and Xtra Heat and trainer King Leatherbury are elected to the National Museum of Racing's Hall of Fame.

- BRINDISI, Italy - Serena Williams says the Fed Cup needs to remarket itself. One possibility she supports is playing the women's team event every two years instead of annually.

- SOCHI, Russia - The head of the association representing international sports federations accuses the IOC of running a system that is ''expired, outdated, wrong, unfair and not at all transparent.''

- Louisville's baseball team is on track for its sixth regular-season conference championship in seven years and a national seed in the NCAA Tournament.
