Broncos' Emmanuel Sanders: 'If we don't bring a Super Bowl ... it's a bust season'

Anything less than walking off the field at Levi's Stadium with hands raised next February would be a disappointment for Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

"If we don’t bring a Super Bowl to this city this year, then it's a bust season." Sanders told reporters Monday.

It's likely a familiar sentiment around the Broncos' facility. The team has come close to winning it all in each of Peyton Manning's three seasons in Denver, but has come up short when it mattered most.

Sanders hinted one of the ways the Broncos could seek to improve on their recent results is by changing his role. Specifically, he said he could move to the slot in some offensive formations, opening up his old role on the outside for sophomore wideout Cody Latimer.

Ultimately, the Broncos' fortunes are unlikely to come down to how Sanders or any other receiver performs on the field. If Manning can't stay healthy and play at a high level in the playoffs, it's hard to imagine the team ending its year in glory.
