With a pressing need at the wide receiver position, the Baltimore Ravens are among three teams to have emerged as a suitor for the top player still available on the free-agent market.

Along with the Oakland Raiders and Miami Dolphins, the Ravens are showing interest in signing Michael Crabtree, according to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area.

Crabtree has yet to meet with the Ravens, as he did with both the Raiders and Dolphins in recent weeks, but the fact that he remains unsigned to this point would suggest he's remaining patient in his search for the right fit.

Though the team could conceivably be waiting until a point in the offseason when a veteran free-agent signing would no longer count toward their compensatory picks in 2016, as they so often do, Baltimore may indeed represent the best fit of the bunch.

Crabtree would step into the starting lineup opposite Steve Smith, providing the Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco with another weapon whose route-running ability has long seen him enjoy success in the underneath passing game.

Despite a relatively disappointing 2014 campaign, in which Crabtree recorded 68 receptions for 698 yards and four touchdowns, he'd certainly still make for a worthwhile addition at 27 years old and just five years into his NFL career.
