Jets claim Darrelle Revis' Instagram account was hacked after profane comments posted

New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, or someone operating the Instagram account linked to Revis' verified Twitter account, posted a number of profane and inflammatory comments toward fans Sunday. 

Some New England Patriots fans tried to goad Revis with trollish comments and he took the bait.

Here's a small sample. Revis' user name on Instagram is revisislandtwo4.

The Jets quickly denied Revis was behind the comments, using the tried-and-true "I was hacked" defense.

Those crazy hackers! It's so weird that they choose to use their advanced computer skills not to break into banking systems and withdraw millions nor enact meaningful social change but instead to impersonate famous athletes.
