Report: Don Barclay signs RFA tender with Packers

Jeff Hanisch / USA TODAY Sports

Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Don Barclay has reportedly signed his restricted free-agent tender and will now return to the team for another season, according to Adam Caplan of ESPN.

Now three years into his pro career after joining the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2012, Barclay has carved out a key role as a reserve lineman capable of playing at a number of positions across the offensive front.

The 25-year-old's value was most apparent in 2013, where he stepped into the starting lineup and made 14 starts at right tackle with Bryan Bulaga lost for the season due to injury.

Barclay missed the 2014 campaign with a torn ACL, but he now returns to the team on a one-year tender and can become an unrestricted free agent next spring.
