Report: Redskins meeting with Stevan Ridley on Tuesday

Bruce Kluckhohn / USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Redskins are reportedly meeting with free-agent running back Stevan Ridley on Tuesday, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.

Having also visited with the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, Ridley's market finally appears to be taking shape after a quiet start to the offseason.

Ridley's recovery from a season-ending knee injury will have an impact on his value, but he flashed some ability throughout his four-year stint with the New England Patriots, including a career-best 1,263-yard, 12-touchdown campaign in 2012.

Ridley would likely be a complementary back to starter Alfred Morris if signed, providing Washington some much-needed depth after the team lost Roy Helu in free agency.
