Martin will work as an outside linebacker during the offseason, the Cardinals' official site reports.

Analysis:

Selected in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Martin was moved from outside linebacker to the defensive line during his first meetings as a Cardinal. However, he was overshadowed by fellow fifth-rounder Ed Stinson and midseason addition Josh Mauro, logging only 18 of his 186 snaps in the final seven games of the season. Martin will be taking a familiar role, after running at outside LB on the scout team when an opposing 3-4 defense was on the docket. If he lands a regular gig in 2015, he's displayed an ability to rush the passer, as evidenced by 11.5 sacks in 13 games in his final collegiate campaign at North Carolina.
