The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms with wide receiver Miles Austin on a one-year contract worth $2.3 million, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The deal also includes $700,000 in incentives for the veteran receiver.

Austin is coming off a down year with the Cleveland Browns, where he signed following the 2013 season. He played in 12 games, catching 47 balls for 568 yards and two touchdowns.

The 30-year-old spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Dallas Cowboys, where he had his best season in 2009, catching 81 passes for 1,320 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The high-flying Chip Kelly/Eagles offense may be the perfect remedy for Austin's career decline. He could compete for a starting job alongside Jordan Matthews in training camp.
