The Chicago Bears signed cornerback Alan Ball to a one-year contract.
The eight-year veteran spent the last two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, recording three interceptions during that time.
He had an offer on the table from the Carolina Panthers last week, and it was falsely reported he had signed with the team, but Ball decided to move on and play under new head coach John Fox and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.
