Longtime Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher apologized Wednesday for comments he made nearly four months ago about his former defensive coordinator, Jim Haslett.

"I just reached out to Jim Haslett and apologized for the harm I caused him and his family," Fletcher tweeted. "He didn't deserve to be treated like that.

"I let my personal frustrations get to me," he continued. "Haz treated me great while we were together. We all played a part in our success and failure."

Fletcher, who retired from the NFL following the 2013 season, went on a tirade against Haslett during a CBS Sports pregame show in December, calling him clueless and accusing him of backstabbing Redskins head coach Jay Gruden. Haslett was still employed by the team at the time.
