Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly revealed a juicy detail about the Nick Foles-Sam Bradford trade at the NFL's annual meetings Wednesday.

Kelly said the Eagles initially attempted to keep Foles on their roster and find another way to acquire Bradford, but the St. Louis Rams insisted on not only getting draft picks but also a key player as compensation in the deal.

Ultimately, the teams swapped quarterbacks with the Eagles sweetening the pot by adding their 2015 fourth-round pick and 2016 second-rounder. The Rams will also give up a 2015 fifth-round pick and a 2016 pick that could rise as high as a third-rounder.
