Report: Kellen Davis closing in on deal with Jets
Free-agent tight end Kellen Davis visited the New York Jets, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The meeting presumably went well, as the the two sides are reportedly closing in on an agreement, according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports.
Davis spent last season with the Detroit Lions, but did not record a catch.
The 29-year-old won a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks two seasons ago, and would be used as a secondary option for the Jets if he were to sign.
