Jets' Geno Smith will get 1st-team reps at start of training camp

New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles said quarterback Geno Smith will get the first-team reps at the start of training camp, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

Bowles said it will be up to Smith to keep the job, which in this case means fending off Ryan Fitzpatrick. Smith had a huge game against the Miami Dolphins to close out the 2014 campaign, but Fitzpatrick had the better overall season, despite being benched by the Houston Texans. The veteran should have plenty of time to recover from the fractured leg he suffered in December.
