Greg Jennings could be taking his talents to South Beach.

The Miami Dolphins are planning to speak with the free-agent receiver, according to Trey Wingo of ESPN.

Jennings was cut by the Minnesota Vikings last week and the Dolphins may have indirectly set the stage prior to his release. Miami traded receiver Mike Wallace to Minnesota the day before Jennings was let go.

Now it's Miami looking for depth after trading Wallace and releasing Brian Hartline. The Dolphins also recently hosted Michael Crabtree in a visit.

Jennings never could duplicate his stellar earlier play with the Green Bay Packers after joining the Vikings. However, his six touchdowns and 59 catches in 2014 were nothing to sneeze at.

Adding Crabtree and Jennings to a group that includes the emerging Jarvis Landry could give quarterback Ryan Tannehill a solid arsenal to work with.

Jennings also has another suitor from Florida.

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell indicated at the owner's meetings that the team is also interested in Jennings.

The Jags need a replacement for Cecil Shorts, who left in free agency.
