Richardson's two-year, $3.45 million contract with the Raiders includes $600,000 guaranteed, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.

Analysis:

Richardson's agent did well to get a significant guarantee, given that the former first-round draft pick has shown little to no promise through his first three NFL seasons. While the guaranteed money doesn't ensure that Richardson will make the final roster, it certainly helps his chances to do so. Latavius Murray should still be viewed as the favorite to lead Oakland's backfield in 2015, but Richardson's contract makes it quite clear that the former Colt will have every opportunity to earn a significant role.
