The Dallas Cowboys are set to host defensive end Greg Hardy on a free-agent visit Tuesday, according to Nick Eatman of the team's official website.

While the two sides have yet to reach an agreement on a deal, negotiations are ongoing, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, who added that Dallas is the favorite to land the pass rusher.

The Cowboys' website is reporting a deal could be agreed upon by Wednesday.

After sitting out the majority of the 2014 season amid domestic violence charges, and likely still facing further league discipline heading into the 2015 campaign, the 26-year-old has had difficulty finding a team willing to take a chance on him.

However, Hardy's market appears to have picked up in recent days, as he's also currently negotiating with and scheduled to visit both the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports.

The Bucs are still making a push, according to Schefter

Though any organization with interest will have to look deeply into his off-field issues, Hardy is a rare edge talent capable of dominating the line of scrimmage.

In his standout 2013 campaign - the best of his five-year career thus far - Hardy tallied an impressive 15 sacks and 65 total tackles, forcing the Carolina Panthers to use the franchise tag to keep him off the free-agent market.
