Just days before he was set to hit free agency, New York Jets linebacker David Harris will now return to the team for the 2015 season and beyond.

According to multiple reports, the two sides have agreed to a three-year deal worth $21.5 million, including a fully guaranteed $15 million in the first two years.

Harris has been an impact performer for the Jets since joining the team as a second-round selection in 2007 and he'll continue to have a significant role on the defense under new head coach Todd Bowles.

The 31-year-old is coming off a highly productive 2014 season in which he led the team with 123 total tackles and tied a career-high with 5.5 sacks.
