Report: Packers' Letroy Guion avoids jail time in deferred prosecution agreement
Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion will avoid jail time due to a deferred prosecution agreement, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.
Guion was arrested on felony marijuana possession and firearm charges Feb. 3. As a result of the deferred agreement, Guion will be placed on probation.
However, the agreement doesn't absolve him of punishment from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who's expected to hand Guion a lengthy suspension.
Police offers found 357 grams of marijuana, an unloaded gun and approximately $190,000 in cash when Guion was arrested in Starke, Fla.
Guion claimed the cash was earned playing for the Packers.
The 27-year-old will be a free agent this summer, although he likely won't have any serious suitors until his legal situation is resolved.
