Barry Cofield: Released By Redskins
Cofield was released by the Redskins on Friday, ESPN's John Keim reports.
Analysis:
It probably wasn't much of a decision, as the transaction saves Washington approximately $4.1 million against the 2015 cap. Soon to be 31 years old, Cofield should catch on elsewhere if he doesn't agree to a smaller contract with the Redskins. He has never topped 54 tackles or four sacks in a single season.
