Falcons release Justin Blalock

The Atlanta Falcons have released veteran left guard Justin Blalock, the team announced Friday.

Blalock was selected by the Falcons in the second round of the 2007 draft and has spent his entire career in Atlanta. He started all 125 games he appeared in over the last eight seasons, including 102 consecutive games from 2007 to 2014. 

The Falcons also parted ways with wide receiver Harry Douglas on Friday.
