Report: Cowboys nearing 4-year extension with Cole Beasley

Having emerged as a key role player on the offensive side of the ball, it appears Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley could soon be rewarded with a long-term deal.

As restricted free agency looms, the Cowboys and Beasley are reportedly closing in on the framework of a four-year contract extension, according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports.

Beasley has steadily improved in each of his three years with the club, tallying 37 catches for 420 yards and four touchdowns in 2014.

With star wideout Dez Bryant likely receiving the franchise tag, also re-signing Beasley would be another step in the Cowboys' efforts to return one of the league's most balanced and explosive offenses.
