Report: Titans' Michael Griffin undergoes knee surgery

Don McPeak-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Tennessee Titans safety Michael Griffin has undergone surgery to correct tendinitis in his left knee, according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean

Griffin had surgery in January to repair a torn labrum and waited to undergo surgery on his knee, because he wouldn't be able to use crutches after the first procedure, according to Wyatt.

The two-time Pro Bowler recorded 112 tackles and two interceptions, playing in all 16 games last season.

Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt said last week that Griffin may not be ready until training camp.
