Report: Dolphins to target David Harris in free agency
Jake Roth / USA TODAY Sports
The Miami Dolphins are reportedly planning to pursue New York Jets linebacker David Harris in free agency, according to The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.
Harris has spent the entirety of his career with the Jets since the team selected him in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
The 31-year-old recorded 123 tackles, 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles last season and has been the team's anchor at inside linebacker over the past eight seasons.
There's been no word on whether Harris has been swayed by new Jets head coach Todd Bowles, who is known to use aggressive blitz concepts heavily in defense.
